Sun | April 6 | 11am | Sanctuary

On Sunday, April 6th, 2025, Peachtree Christian Church will hold its inaugural Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation Sunday during the 11:00 am worship service. This special service comes a year and a half after the church’s Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Jarrod Longbons, underwent a liver transplant, underscoring the vital role of organ and tissue donation in saving lives.

The worship service will offer blessings to healthcare workers, donor families, and those currently awaiting life-saving transplants. A highlight of the service will be a unique sermon in the form of a dialogue between Rev. Dr. Jarrod Longbons, a liver transplant recipient, and Pastor Eric Thomas of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, a heart transplant recipient. Their conversation will illuminate the profound impact of organ donation, faith, and resilience.

Following the service, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from several organ donation and transplantation organizations. These experts will provide valuable information about the importance of organ and tissue donation and how individuals can become donors.

Peachtree Christian Church welcomes all members of the community to participate in this meaningful event.

Sun | April 13 | 11am & Noon

Enjoy worship at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary, complete with costumed Disciples and children. Following the Service, join the procession down Spring Street with shouts of “Hosanna!” and the waving of palm branches to celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The parade will culminate on the playground where the celebration continues with a Marketplace featuring belly dancers, a potter, sheep, goats, a special play area for children, and a complimentary Mediterranean lunch! Note: Spring Street will be closed to traffic during the parade. If leaving the parking lot during that time, please use the driveway between the church and the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Thurs | April 17 | 5:30/7 PM | Burns Hall and Sanctuary

Join us at 5:30 PM for a light soup-and-salad meal prepared by Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) in Burns Hall. Cost: $5 per person (children under 5 are free.)
At 7PM we will gather in the Sanctuary for worship and Holy Communion.

April 18

11am - Stations of the Cross

Noon - Service

Take time to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice. Walk our Spiritual Pathway, experiencing the Stations of the Cross through stunning artwork (Bring your smart phone and headphones for a moving immersive experience peachtree.org/stations). Then, join us in the Sanctuary at noon for a deeply moving music-centered service.

Palm Sunday, April 13 – 11 AM
Step into the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Experience a powerful worship service, featuring costumed Disciples and joyful children. Maundy Thursday, April 17
Come together for a simple yet meaningful evening. Share a light soup-and-salad meal at 5:30 PM in Burns Hall, prepared with love by the Christian Women's Fellowship. Then, at 7 PM, gather in the Sanctuary for a moving service of worship and Holy Communion as we remember Jesus’ Last Supper.

Good Friday, April 18

Easter Sunday, April 20 – Services at 9 AM & 11 AM

Children will delight in special activities designed just for them. Through beauty, music, and storytelling, Peachtree Christian Church weaves together time-honored traditions with fresh, meaningful expressions of worship.

The class focuses on helping older adults deepen their understanding of the Bible, its relevance and importance to living our Christian faith. Our lessons explore essential themes like faith, joy, love, forgiveness, and the essence of living as a community of believers. Each Sunday, a rotating team of teachers brings new perspectives, blending historical insights with contemporary reflections, sparking thought-provoking discussions and moments of shared growth.

Our Youth Sunday School class for middle and high school students (6th-12th grade) is designed to help teens connect with Scripture in a real and meaningful way.

In this 45-minute session, we'll explore how God’s Word speaks directly to the challenges and decisions teens face every day—whether it's friendships, identity, faith, or purpose.

Through engaging teaching and thoughtful discussion, students will not only dive deeper into understanding the character of God, but also strengthen their theology and build a foundation for navigating life with faith and wisdom.

This class is a place to learn, ask questions, and grow together in a supportive, vibrant community.

The woman at the well, the teacher who came to Jesus by night, the disciple who doubted:  John’s gospel offers us so many eyes through whom to encounter Jesus.  Simultaneously the most simple of all the gospels and the most profound, John’s gospel provides the reader with its own insightful perspective on Jesus’ life, ministry, and meaning.  We offer this class as an extended study to allow participants an opportunity to enter deeply into this amazing text.  We have built a few breaks into the schedule to allow some breathers for all.  Whether you are new to Bible study, revisiting this gospel for a refresher, or seeking a deeper encounter with a familiar text, you will find nurture for your spiritual growth in this study.

The origins of Christ’s church in Rome are lost to us, but by the time Paul was writing his letter to them (about AD 54), it was a mature and robust church – perhaps none too sure about this wandering missionary (and former persecutor of the church) of whom they had heard so much controversy.

So, before Paul visits them, he writes a letter of introduction.  Unique among his letters, Paul addresses Romans to a church he did not found and does not know.  In his self-introduction, Paul fully lays out his understanding of the gospel, including how it relates to his mission and to the congregation in Rome.  In the process, he bequeathed to us the greatest theological treatise in Scripture and some of its most memorable and uplifting passages.

Join us as we explore Paul’s Letter to the Romans:  The Power of God unto Salvation.

Road Trip! Preschoolers through 5th graders are invited to buckle up for five fun-filled days of Bible stories, music, science, crafts, and games as we head out on the road with God right here at Peachtree. Tweens and teens who’ve completed 6th, 7th or 8th grade can join the fun as part of YES! (Youth in Excellent Service) serving in leadership and serving the community through local mission projects. $40 per participant. A discount is offered for families with three or more children, and Scholarships are available. (Fee increases to $45 per participant after May 18.) VBS T-shirt included with registration! Registration is open, and online payment is available through this registration which opens on March 27th.

Children who are rising Kindergarten - rising 9th grades, prepare for a week of theatrical delight at Peachtree Christian Church's Spotlight Drama Camp, where imagination takes center stage and creativity knows no bounds! From July 14th to July 18th, your children will shine bright as they dive into the captivating world of drama and performance.

Our younger performers will be directed by Amanda Kraft, Peachtree's Children's Choir Director & our older performers will be directed by Theresa Hamm-Smith!

With an electrifying lineup including monologues, sensational song selections from beloved musicals, and essential drama training, our camp promises a whirlwind of excitement and discovery for your aspiring performers.

Children should bring a lunch with them and Peachtree will provide snacks! 

For a full day of fun, register your child for Vacation Bible School (VBS) from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by Drama Camp from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM. As the week reaches its grand finale, mark your calendars for Friday at 3:30 PM, when our sensational campers take center stage to dazzle audiences with their newfound talents.
